Weekly challenge! Papertake this week
Posted by Dianette "Jany" Seda en 14 noviembre 2008
I’ve been mentioning the changes that I’m working on with myself for 2009, right? Well, you might guess that since I want to make challenges to inspire and since I’m part of a design team, I think it is just fair that I do participate in other’s challenges, right. Well, every Thursday I’ll post my card for Dutch Dare cardmakers and I will like to know to which challenges did you posted this week. That means that some weekdays I’ll be posting double (one for my challenge entries and my normal entry for the day).
Here is my take in the Papertake Weekly Challenge. I needed to do it my way. I was inspired by it, but as rarely occurs, I didn’t did the card as sketched. This card has an owner and that is my dear friend Stacy Rogers. She’s not feeling well lately and I did this exclusively for her. She was in my thoughts from the moment I saw the sketch. I was mad at myself because I wanted to use specifically THIS stamp and couldn’t find it. Right before heading for bed I did a last check and there it was! Where I’ve been looking for the last 2 hours. Imagine that I watched a full movie while arranging and messing up my craft area.
About the card: I used Shimmerz Candle Light all over the images in the paper (without even thinking if they would be covered by the image later) and in the border of my stamped image as well as in some details. The china the angel is cleaning is done with Liquid Apliqué and Shimmerz in the border while still wet. I didn’t want to include a sentiment. That is not a get well card or anything like that. Thinking about it now, I might have included a “thinking of you” but it didn’t occured to me. I didn’t like it with just one flower so I added the other one. I don’t have a LOT of choices of colors for my flowers and sizes. I used some primas Diana gave me for my bday. Oh, and I used my coluzzle to cut the borders.
