Dutch Dare Challenge Charm

This card is very special for me. I would dare to say the best ever! I can’t stop staring at it. I just love everything about it. I love from the image I started with to the back of the card. I think I poured my soul into it. I need to admit it is my worst coloring. The cardstock I used was Ultra Smooth White from TAC and it kept losing its top coat and mixing the colors. Next time I’ll use the aquacolor paper. I need to find out where to buy it so I can use all of what I have at home without feeling guilty. This card is 5.5 X 5.5.
I’m still learning to use this blog, so please, be patient while I learn another way to actually add the images so I can add text below and around it as I used to do in blogger.
Picture # 1 (click over it to see it better) is the front of my card. I started with a vague idea of what I wanted. I thought of making this with my new TAC stamps (which I used in the inside) as it was too big to use as greeting or sentiment. Besides, I don’t know what I was thinking since I actually dreamed this card this morning and woke up to work with it. From a normal kind of card it ended being sweet and romantic. lol.
Picture #2 (click over it to see it better) This is a pic of the inside of the card. If you noticed I used every single space of my card to embellish and decorate. It is so different to what I’m used to do! But actually I got the idea from two blogs. One day I’ll go into more detail with links.
Picture #3 (click over it to see it better) This is the back of the card. I included both patterned papers I used and stamped and signed my card for him. I’m still thinking in changing the cardbase for a blue or green one, maybe a brown? Still I would be including all the rest as it is!
Picture #4 (click over the pic to see it better) This is a close up of the HOME word. I love the look of it. It is SOOOOO sad that I didn’t have glass to cover it up. I’ve thought of using liquid glass to do it, but I would hate to actually damage it. AND I did break my rubber in the middle just so I could see where I was stamping this. That’s one of the reasons it is just right. I still need to learn to do it in another way. Is for the only thing I like clear. lol.
Picture #5 (click over it to see it better) This is a closeup in the details inside the text area of the card. Did you see the glitter from the gel pen and the shimmerz? It looks just great!
Oh my! I just love so much the look of it! I will try to save it all and move it to another cardstock base before Christmas. I really want to give this one to Martin. And he has an Ipod Nano to go with it. If I’m able to download some of his favorite music, I might give it to him ready to just explore!
