Happy New Year!

Posted by Dianette "Jany" Seda en 1 enero 2009

To start the new year with the right foot, here is a card I did for heather’s Oz Some Sketch. She does a weekly sketch in her blog and I’ve participated a few times. Actually, I encourage you to check them out as well as the beautiful samples of her work she shares every Tuesday for the sketch. Sorry you need to turn your head, but this is the second card that I haven’t been able to rotate. My new laptop has windows vista and it doesn’t respond like my old and trusted XP.

Since this week there is not a Dutch Dare card, I encourage you to look around for some blog you love and haven’t participated in it yet. Every Thursday the idea is to participate in at least ONE blog challenge from anywhere! I did my entry for today, what about you?

Now, I did wanted too, to actually show you how I did this gorgeous and detailed card in no time.

Choosing Materials First, I choose a previously colored image from my stash of unused stamped images and choose a paper collection right for it. To my surprise I had Cha-Cha paper from TAC with the right colors for it and many sheets of papers inside the package were actually cut and it would make my job of using the right papers to use easier. Notice I tried to show you the time in my clock so you can track everything down.

Setting upSecond: I took a card base of Scarlet cardstock (I had it ready into the package but actually it doesn’t take too long to pick out the paper cut and score. I selected two patterned papers that as you will notice later, I will not use together. I will adhere one to my image and will play along with the other pieces until I have it like I want. That was the hardest part.

Almost SetThird: I had everything cut and placed where I wanted. It was waiting for me add adhesive. I looked at it and wanted it a little more embellished. So, I started looking for other things to play with before adhering the image.

DoneFourth: I added the Prima Flower in the color it had the less, and added the center as I added some clear elements to give it a little more interest. At 8:55 I was done. That means that even delaying in choosing the elements out, I did my card in just 10 minutes! Yay! If I had everything in my mind I would have done it in half that time! I just love when everything falls in place!
